Description
I wanted to do some quick sketch paintings in Painter to see how fast I could get at least a somewhat recognizable image. I'm not sure why I settled on 21 minutes for my time limit, but that's what it is.
Anyway, this one is Captain Hook from J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan. It isn't bad for a first try, but it's easy to see why more time than 21 minutes would have benefited the drawing. His eyes are too small and a little crooked, and there is a lot more shading to be done, but otherwise I'm okay with it I guess. I like the hair.
I'm considering redrawing this with as much time as I want to make it better, but for my first 21 minute sketch, I'm okay with this one.

looks great for a quick drawing.
i'm sure this is something you've already thought, but the curvature of the face makes me think more that there is something behind a flat rubber pic of a face tenting it up rather than giving it appropriate curves in places like the cheeks and eye-wells. i like it though...and so fast! excellent!
